Mamono Realm Silver, occasionally more succinctly translated as realmsilver[1], is a magical material mined from rocks and ore veins in Mamono realm caves and mines. Its most notable use is in monster weaponsmithing, as it can be fashioned into swords which inflict spiritual rather than physical wounds - ideal for monsters, who have a vested interest in not causing harm to their enemies. The material is first mentioned in Monster Girl Encyclopedia World Guide I: Fallen Maidens[2] and described in detail in Monster Girl Encyclopedia World Guide II: Mamono Realm Traveller's Guide book. It's mentioned that the mamono realm ore with highest quality is called "Imperial Mamono Silver"[3].

One of the typical ores that can be mined underground in mamono realms. The raw ore is a metal with a pink luster, but occasionally it changes into various colors such as black or red due to processing. Its properties make it easy to imbue with mamono mana, and it is the most suitable metal for creating magic items.
Also, it is often used for manufacturing weapons. Weapons made of mamono realm silver do not inflict wounds on the body of a cut opponent, instead inflicting damage on the opponent's magical energy. When an opponent's magical energy is wounded, essence or mamono mana will leak out from there, and they will lose their strength. In this way, it's possible to take away an opponent's strength to fight without harming or killing them.
By infusing weapons made of mamono realm silver with mamono mana, it's even possible to change human women into monsters. This is because when a human woman is cut, the mamono mana dwelling within the weapon will flow into her, as if to fill in the hole where her energy leaked out. These non-lethal weapons are widely and regularly used by monsters who fundamentally hate killing humans, and they've also been adopted as the official equipment of the Mamono Lord's Army.
Also, when making an alloy with other metals such as iron or copper, if a certain amount of mamono realm silver is mixed in, copper or iron will be corroded by the mamono realm silver. It will change into “mamono realm iron” or “mamono realm copper”, which have the same properties as mamono realm silver.
Additionally, the beautiful pink luster of raw mamono realm silver is also treasured as a material for accessories. It looks extremely beautiful to the human eye as well, and despite it being a product of the mamono realm, a countless number of noblewomen desire accessories made from this mamono realm silver. It is sometimes sold even in human realms by monster merchants, etc.
Basically, even if an accessory is made from mamono realm silver, as long as there's only a slight amount of mamono mana imbued within it, it won't have any effects on humans. However, mamono realm silver is easily imbued with mamono mana, and the ore is optimal for producing things called “cursed equipment” which can change women who wear them into monsters due to having been infused with a huge amount of condensed mamono mana.

As a rule, most mamono realm's weapons are made of mamono realm silver, but some are made of "Mamono Realm Iron" or "Mamono Realm Steel". Also, in Lescatie, the usual swords used by knights were corroded by mamono mana and it seems that many of the usual metals have been converted into mamono realm metals. In "succubus swordsmanship" by which the opponent is seduced during combat, the beauty of the sword itself is also an important factor that further enhances the attractiveness of the swordswoman. The swords of the Dark Knights of Lescatie are not only weapons for obtaining a husband, they also enhance the allure that mamono possess... It is believed that to win a man's heart, the sword must be a part of the owner and her extension, so many knights of the mamono realms try to get more beautiful and enchanting swords. Some of the knights with a strong commitment to the chivalrous way of the sword, trying to create their own blade, choosing the ore for it with their own eyes, which they then take to the excellent blacksmith. At the "Mamono Realm Weapon Fair," which regularly unfolds in the central square of Salvarision, not only weapons are traded, but also rare Mamono Realm Ores brought in from abroad by Mamono traders such as Gyoubu Danuki.
